CASA EHIJOS OPORTO MUSEUM

The Casa Ehijos Oporto Museum is housed in the main house of the former Fundo Cerro Galera estate, and its various rooms offer a glimpse into the lives of its first settlers. The museum is owned by Soledad Solís Ehijos and is managed in partnership with the Corporación Memoria Austral. The main house is currently in the process of being designated a National Monument. The museum is open to visitors during the scheduled hours, which are announced in advance on Memoria Austral’s Instagram (@memoriaaustral). ESTANCIA ÑIREHUAO MUSEUM

The Estancia Ñirehuao Museum is a site museum that chronicles the history of livestock farming in the Aysén region since the arrival of the estancias. The museum is owned by the Peede Montequin family and is managed in partnership with the Corporación Memoria Austral. Currently, the former administration house is in the process of being designated a National Monument.

The Estancia Ñirehuao Museum is located in the town of Villa Ñirehuao, 65 km northwest of Coyhaique. You can visit the museum during its opening hours, which are announced in advance on the Instagram accounts of Memoria Austral (@memoriaaustral) and Estancia Ñirehuao (@estancia_nirehuao).

PUERTO CRISTAL MUSEUM

The Puerto Cristal Mining Camp is a Historic Monument and Site Museum. The Puerto Cristal Museum is owned by the Casanova Uribe family and operated by the Puerto Cristal Corporation, with support from the Memoria Austral Corporation and the “Los Cristalinos” Social and Cultural Association, the latter comprising families with long-standing ties to the Mining Camp.
